How is the Cowlips doing right now?
is it producing anything?

Was planning on heading down tomorrow with some friends for the day.
Just wondering is all.

Our Service Manager fished at the Barrier Dam yesterday and hooked 4 Springers and landed 2 nice Hatchery fish.

I believe he said 12 and 15 lbs.

Fished sand shrimp under a float.

He said he counted no less than 50 fish rolling.

Fished blue creek area today from first light till about 3, got 2 cutts, and lost a steelhead. saw 3 fish hooked other than mine, and counted 4 fish dead from the other boats. Barrier dam is probably a better bet than BC, but there are way way less people at BC. maybe 10 people throughout the day at the launch/crackpipe area.

Reporting back on our full day on the COW.

Went to the blue creek area, hit the side confluence leading to the blue creek, not my ideal area to fish as i really am not fond of fast water fishing.
Rick and i slowly walked in, well he walked fast and i eventually got to the spot later lol!

Got our rigs in the water, not even 10 minutes go by and rick is dragging a fish through the fast water, i told him i could land it for him without a net, but the .38 special would take some of the meat from his table just so he was aware of my intensions.
He wouldnt let me bag the fish though, so i grabbed the net.
I got to stand there looking at (p)Rick play this fish for atleast 20 minutes while holding this stupid Net thing.
I was happy i got to see rick land his first springer though, what a beauty of a hen it was too!

There are fish in there, but be forewarned, YOU WILL work your Butt off to get one. they arent very hungry.
this one was though, ate ricks setup as soon as it hit the water.

seen a few steelies landed also today, nothing really purty, but they were steelies lol! (rick also crackered one off 45 minutes before we called it a day. all i had today was a bite and a couple headshakes of a fish and got to reel in a cool SCALE from a fish.
