Today i traded my Hi-point C9 9mm (camp pistol) for an remington 1917 Enfield 30-06 sporter.
Couldnt help myself.
All it needs is a new cocking catch as the one on it doesnt really catch properly and is set back too far on the rear of the bolt.
Supposed to catch the sear and push the center of the rear on the bolt (name is skipping my mind), then when sear releases the bolt catch it slams forward. I will post photos later.
But i have a new toy to tinker with, that makes 2-1/2 Eddystones i own now. lollollollol_thumb

This one is set up with an accutrigger (adjustable). full length uncut barrel also. Just has a couple bare areas where the rear sight and forward sights were. I will repair the areas and blacken them in, Just a hunting rifle.

Good trade Phish.....

Anything to get rid of the Hi-Point.

That in itself should be the "Hi-Point" of your day..........

Look up Hi-Point in the dictionary and there is a steaming pile of %&@*&*@# pictured....... beans

Enough said.......

Heres my sweetie right here.
Not as much of a knock out hottie as the one Uncle John gave me, but she is sexy also in her own way.  lollollollol_thumb

I love these old enfields, lol!
I want them all, every single one ofthem should be mine, and CHEAP! Grin

Barrel and action are glass bedded to the wood. will slightly sand the barrel troff out a bit to free float it, but thats all i really have to do other than find out why sometimes it doesnt cock going into battery with a round chambered.

Tore the bolt apart today and matched it to two others i already have that are stock, this one looks to have a p14 cocking piece and a way heavier spring on it.
inserted a couple spent 30-06 casings to dry fire test, it puts a dent just as deep as the stock one did the first time the casing was struck.
only thing i have to really do to this rifle is touch up the barrel & get a new bolt for the forward scope mount base and then spray it or put 20 more danish oil coats on it and wax it.
Currently has 2 coats of Danish already on it from the previous owner.

i am stoked, now i have 2-1/2 enfields lol!
I have a weird attraction for them.

Yeah, i traded my lovely Hi-point C9 9mm, a fobus paddle holster and a spare mag & mag pouch for it.
Say what you like about the Hi-point, i will miss it. i always had a great time blasting targets at camp with it, now i will blast targets at camp a little further out lol! (some living hairy ones hopefully also! LOL!).

I cant wait to be able to go out and dial it in after i touch it up, the barrel is uncut, just needs some protective finish and light sanding done to it. i want to fill in the forward holes where the sights were (silverbrite plumbing solder?).
I will probably use dark gray Aluma-Hyde spray on finish in a parkerized look for the barrel and action.

As this rifle sits right now, i will trade it for a .44 magnum to have a solid side arm for hunting.
Must fit my holster though, 5-1/2" to 6" barrel preferred.

and someone else will have a solid rifle for hunting.  Grin

KIDDING, cant sell/trade something i havent shot. its a sacreligious thing to do.

Dang, can't help ya on that 44 Magnum/P17 trade. The only 44Mag I got is a M92 lever Carbine. And it do whack you when it goes Bang! The 300 grain Bear Medicine I shoot in it is quite accurate. My stopper if you will.
