You did the tiger wrap. how did that go for you? i am about to begin my first rod and im looking forward to attempting that wrap. any problems/ advice?

The tiger/holo wrap is really quite easy. For the bottom wrap use black & white or black & yellow. The top wrap will be your main color and the bottom just gives the moire effect.

Just make sure there are NO spaces between the 2 threads wrapped together for the bottom layer. You can burnish them in different directions along 4 axis just dont creat any gaps when you burnish.

He got me into rod building and taught me what I know about thread art can't say enough about his work.

Most certainly Joe,

Although it's easier sometimes to do the decorative thread work as a rod is under construction, many times I have added the extras after the rod is fishable.

I'd be happy to personalize and spruce up factory rods.
