Phish for the candidate of the CSP, common sense party. 'Course that means you will lose Randy. Common sense is a recessive trait in the scheme of things.

Many things have gone awry in the last several decades.

Daycare necessity: the economy is such,  and has been for 50+ years,  that both parents need to produce an income and thus abdicate their obligation to instill a sense of right and wrong and personal values in pre-school children.

Latch key kids: Statistically it is evident that more kids manage to get into trouble and other bad situations in the hours after school and before parental control is manifest.

Gangs: Many, not all, gang members originate in dysfuntional families. Too often from the "kids having kids" situation.

The penchant for the media to create a view of some societal anomalies to be heroic or underdog heroes and thereby end up advocating destructive behaviour.

TV programs that lionize the misfit in the class room. Welcome Back Kotter comes to mind. A funny show for adults but a very bad training film for the young.  Hooray the dropout.

The above just begin to scratch the surface of the pool of cess We have allowed to fester in our society.

I left out religion because either you believe or you don't. And no sense arguing about the obvious.

Healthcare?? It used to begin with the family in times past, before having a surgery became a million dollar debt.

ER used to be for medical emergencies,  not a walk in, 'I hurt' clinic or 'my kid has a temp.' Not anymore and it is  mostly because few have a family doctor to contact in the present era.
I spent a lot of time in ERs in my SFD days and they are all understaffed  and usually short of space.

Wow, Michael Moore haters abound. Granted I am not a big fan of his either, tried to watch 911, and fell asleep. But anyone who gets out there and does spread legitimate information is ok in my books whether a douche or not. Now Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh c'mon, talk about assclowns. beans beans remember when the right wing was so anti black I mean anti Obama they were saying he was a terrorist who created a fake birth certificate to become president of the united states and take away all our rights such as bearing arms? And then the masses joined in and started believing everything they said and went out in fear to buy up every last gun because guns were going to be outlawed? Well I am getting a shotgun in a month or so, guess they aren't outlawed. Whether you are a righty or lefty( btw lefties hide most of the time in outdoors forums) you got to admit I went a bit off subject but also spreading fear and hate is definitely cornered by Right Wing Radio.
